East of Autumn’s sound is modern Americana with a traditional sensibility
that creates a fresh and unpretentious feel. It takes the listener
from hypnotic grooves to fever pitch, an emotional roller coaster
of words and music that will appeal to a vast array of musical tastes,
without compromise. In 2001, with only basic mixes done, the band’s
demo tapes caught the ears of several television music directors,
landing East of Autumn’s music on all three major networks, sparking
interest in the band before they even released their first CD. To
date the band has had over 50 TV placements.
Their demo earned the band a showcase performance at the House Of
Blues Music Hall at the EAT-M music conference held in Las Vegas.
That performance secured the band a deal with the indie label Rev-Up
Records. It also caught the ears of (renowned Grammy -winning music
producer Greg Ladanyi (Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, Fleetwood Mac,
Don Henley etc.), who signed on and mixed the band’s debut CD.
Rev-Up Records released East Of Autumn’s debut CD “What It Is And
Where It Ends” in February 2004. In the spring of 2006 the band
started recording new material for their upcoming EP which is slated
to be released independently in late 2006. With the power and emotion
of the band’s live show, plus songs audiences instantly connect
with, East of Autumn provides the rock-weary a new reason to believe,
a renewed faith in modern rock and its umbilical connection with
its roots. With lush melodies, provocative arrangements and lyrics
rich with imagery and insight, East of Autumn will fill the void
that so many modern rock fans crave.
